The way to the ALL IN ONE ski helmet

In the 1980s, the young lawyer Claudius Pfister ventured into the trade of fashionable sports textiles. In 1989, he then took the bold step into the sports eyewear and helmet sector and founded the Swiss sales company for the ALPINA brand. This market segment became a great success, enabling Claudius Pfister to launch the new Swiss Brand CP in 2000. With a twinkle in his eye, he used his English pronounced initials for the new label. From the beginning, CP’s focus has been on high-tech quality materials combined with top fashion design from Italy.

Fashion at sports

In 2004, product range expansion was the order of the day. The ski helmet had been invented, but its success on the slopes was still marginal. Helmet wearers were always somewhat ridiculed on the slopes until a few years ago. Helmets were something for children and racers. The strategic courage and fashion flair of the founder proved to be extremely successful components in overcoming the unfounded prejudices. The great experience and the high demands on an excellent ski helmet led to the launch of the first CP helmet collection in 2004.

They went to work with a lot of commitment, know-how and creativity. The CP team excelled at constantly monitoring emerging trends in regular skiing in major Swiss resorts such as St. Moritz, Flims Laax, Zermatt and Davos – and thus identified new market needs at an early stage. Then there was tinkering and experimentation until the constantly growing demands on materials, technology and design could be satisfied.

The CP team was successively enlarged by a small group of top-class winter sportsmen. Their suggestions and proposals for improvement could be implemented directly in production. This repeatedly gave the development team a decisive edge.

Excellence in performance...style...action...

CP’s development over the past 14 years has been characterized by the uncompromising demand for the best possible combination of cutting-edge technology and aesthetics. The price-performance ratio is excellent for CP products. But a CP helmet is not a disposable product that you leave at the ski lodge when the sun is shining.

Carbon

In the course of the last years the condition of the CP helmets was constantly adapted to the state of the art. Among other things, CP decided to develop a carbon helmet upper shell. Carbon is currently the most resistant and at the same time the lightest application-relevant material. Space and aviation technology as well as the automotive industry in the higher segment can no longer do without carbon. CP mastered the complex application for part of the current collection and can therefore present itself as a leading supplier in this segment. The carbon helmets offer the highest level of safety and comfort.

All in One

The most recent highlight in CP’s history is the launch of the “All in One” helmet. The visor helmet from CP is synonymous with the best of the best. The “All in One” helmet offers everything a helmet can offer. A highlight also for every spectacle wearer: under the closed visor, any correction glasses can fit comfortably. In order to maintain its pole position here, CP has not only further developed the helmet, but also the visors. For the latter, only the highest quality, unbreakable and optically pure polycarbonate is used. Finally, the unsurpassed surface finishes make CP sights unique.

Swiss Brand Made in Italy

Another constant at CP is Swissness. CP is a Swissbrand. All decisions are made in Switzerland, production takes place in Italy, and sales and customer service are again provided from Switzerland. This combination of Swiss virtues such as reliability, punctuality, and customer orientation with top Italian values in creativity, fashion awareness, and design is genuinely part of CP’s recipe for success.

The Story goes on

CP is well positioned – and taking off. Elegant. And persistently focused on the goal of excellence. CP will continue to make sports helmet history. But the success of a product is not achieved by the manufacturer and distributor alone. It also needs YOU, the satisfied CP customer. We look forward to your valued suggestions and criticisms. Together we can move forward.

We wish you a lot of fun while driving!
