When should I replace my CP All In One visor helmet?

All helmet parts are subject to an aging process depending on handling, maintenance and degree of wear, which depends on the intensity of use and the respective conditions of use.

Therefore, the best way to store a helmet is away from sunlight and in a cool, dry place. Ideally, this should be stored in the packaging, but the cloth bag will also do.

Cracks, loose or chipped parts, deformations, flaking and color changes, should be taken as an opportunity to check the condition of the helmet. Under optimal storage conditions (cool, dry, protected from daylight, no contact with chemicals, no mechanical stress, no pressure or strain) and without use, the maximum service life is eight years after the specified production date. The helmet should no longer be used, even if the product is in good viasual condition. For safety reasons, we recommend replacing our helmets five years after the first use, depending on the intensity of use.

Can I continue to use my ski helmet after a fall or collision?

The protective function of a ski helmet is impaired after a fall or collision, as the impact forces on the head during a fall are absorbed by the helmet. In the event of another impact in the same place, the ski helmet may no longer fulfill its protective function.

Please note that the helmet shell and/or other parts – depending on the strength and angle of impact – can and should even break to deflect the impact forces away from your head.

After a violent impact, even if no damage is visible, the helmet should be replaced as its ability to absorb further impact may be impaired.

Replacement is also necessary if the helmet no longer fits properly or damage is clearly visible.

Is there a warranty on the CP visor helmets?

CP’s visor helmets are warranted against defects in materials and/or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by improper use or care of the product and its parts.

If you have any problems regarding products covered by the warranty, please contact the dealer where you purchased your helmet and/or visor and have your proof of purchase ready. If direct contact with the retailer is not possible, please email us at Customerservice [at]cp-fashionatsports.com with your contact information, a description of the problem, pictures and proof of purchase. Your complaint will then be processed directly by us.

How can I choose the right CP All In One visor helmet for me?

Please note that the following recommendations are to be understood as practical tips. They cannot replace the personal advice of the specialist dealer of a sports store.

Measure your head correctly: The starting point for choosing the correct size is to measure the circumference of your head, one finger width above the eyebrows. In many specialty stores, dealers have head measuring tapes. The head circumference is indicated in cm on the sticker on the back of the helmet and on the label. You can use the size chart below for guidance.

Try on: Try on several helmets if possible; you will notice a difference in fit right away. Make sure that the helmet fits comfortably and tightly on your head. It must fit snugly, but not too tightly. Also, don’t forget to take a look in the mirror: After all, you want to look good with your helmet on!

Adjustment: Make sure the helmet is level on your head. The helmet should not sit too far back on the head or the forehead will be left unprotected, nor should it be pulled too far over the forehead where it can impair vision. The visor should rest comfortably on your nose in the down position and the foam lip should seal the gap to your face well.

Size adjustment: By turning the size adjustment ring on the back of the helmet, you can easily adjust the helmet size. To do this, place the helmet in the correct position and turn the dial on the back of the helmet: clockwise to make it tighter, counterclockwise to make it looser.

Firm fit: You can test whether your helmet fits well by shaking your head slightly with the chin strap open. The helmet should not change its position! In order for the helmet to fulfill its safety function 100%, an optimal fit is required.

Loop system adjustment: The length of the loop ends can vary by adjusting the loops individually. Tuck the protruding webbing into the chin pad. Make sure you can breathe and swallow easily.

Which parts of the helmet can be cleaned?

VISIOR: The best way to clean the visor is with mild soapy water and let it air dry; if necessary, you can gently dab it with a microfiber cloth. Petroleum-based solvents, aggressive or acidic products should generally be avoided as they can attack the materials and damage the coating. If snow or water gets on the inside of the visor, you should shake off the liquid and let the visor air dry. The inside of the visor has an anti-fog coating, which is very sensitive to scratches.

INSIDE FEED: If the inner lining of the helmet is removable, it can be washed by hand or in the washing machine (max. temperature 30 °C/86 °F and low speed when spinning). For cashmere lining, please use the appropriate program of your washing machine. The linings are not suitable for dryer.

EAR PADS: If the ear pads can be removed, they can be washed just like the inner lining.
